Introducing Steph: Interim USA Director

Beginning this month, Olivia and I (Jason) are moving to Tanzania for the next year to work with the Global Health Service Partnership (read more about our plans here). We will be continuing our work with RHC from abroad but will obviously be more limited in our abilities to respond to local needs in the USA and Ghana, given the geographic and sometimes electricity challenges we will face.

In anticipation of these changes, we are excited to announce that Steph Cadman (current Fundraising Director) will be assuming the role of RHC USA Director on an interim basis while we are away. She will continue her work on fundraising but will expand her role to include team management caring for local organizational needs. She brings unbounded enthusiasm, a strong work ethic, and the interpersonal skills required to lead the team and continue moving RHC forward.

Steph graduated with her BSN in nursing from Point Loma Nazarene University and practiced in the emergency department for several years in both San Diego and Portland.  She then went on to obtain her masters degree as a family nurse practitioner from University of Pennsylvania.  She now works in pediatric primary care as a nurse practitioner in Portland.  She also continues to work as a nurse in the ER.  She has been with RHC from the very beginning, traveling with the team on our first trip to Ghana in January 2011.

Join us in welcoming her to this new role.

Stephanie Cadman
