Spring is the season of rebirth and restoration. It’s an absolutely beautiful time of year here in Portland! Everything green sprouts up and tulips and daffodils line the sidewalks. In Ghana, the temperature and humidity is hitting the 90s, but the trees and grasses are still beautifully green. And RHC is experiencing some exciting renewal during this season in Akatsi as well!
Rosemond and Comfort were both a part of the first group of Kekeli women that were trained. They both had to be away from Akatsi for many years due to life circumstances and caring for family in other parts of Ghana. They have recently returned to Akatsi and have asked to be reinstated as Kekeli women, and we are more than happy to have them return. It is a season of restoration indeed!
Did you know that our retention rate for Community Health Promoters over the course of 8 years is 93%?
The average rate of retention for health promotion programs is 50-70%. We know this is no accident. With your help the Kekeli women have been able to receive invaluable support and knowledge.
RHC stands for women’s empowerment. Our goal is to build the Kekeli women up and grow their knowledge in order to encourage their strength as leaders in their communities. Thank you for supporting their important work.
