While I am a little behind in this post, I wanted to share what the amazing Kekeli women did in the month of February.

They held 17 presentations throughout February where they taught on topics like: blood pressure, nutrition, hygiene and sanitation, family planning practices, malaria, cholera, diarrhea, dehydration, HIV / AIDS, preparation of local ORS and malnutrition. These are the direct topics that they have learned and continued to be taught at their yearly and quarterly Kekeli meetings.

The Kekeli women reached over 1,200 men, women and children in 15 different communities at their local schools, churches and community centers, truly going to the community and where the people are at.

This information comes from our new monitoring and evaluation program. The Kekeli women self-report after each meeting with our Director of Field Operations David closely monitoring each one.  Everyone is still getting used to this new system, but once it is working smoothly it will hugely impact our ability to see long-term trends and ensure that this project is effective and meeting the needs of the communities.

As we want to be as transparent as possible, we will continue to update all of YOU on our progress in Ghana!
