Kekeli VHW Program

Kekeli means “brightness” in Ewe, the local language of east Ghana. It is also the name of a community teaching program in the North Tongu District organized by our partner, Seva Clinic. This is the same teaching program Olivia worked on during her months in Ghana in 2007.

As our trip approaches, we have been communicating more with our partners in Ghana including Seva Clinic. They have agreed to allow us to use the Kekeli name and logo for our Village Health Worker program. We are very excited to extend the Kekeli program into the Akatsi District and thereby expand the VHW network in east Ghana.

Through this collaboration we believe the VHW program will be strengthened. As the VHW network grows, opportunities will develop for current and future health workers and their villages.
