Quick Update: The team has arrived

Olivia, Steph, and Jess arrived in Ghana about 48 hours ago and have already completed their first day of training with the Kekeli women.

In a quick conversation I had with Olivia yesterday she said that 16 of the 20 women attended the meeting. They managed to outline a plan and a schedule for the next two weeks. They also visited the villages of two of the Kekeli women who could not make the meeting. I know one recently had a baby! Olivia also mentioned that over the next two weeks she thinks they will be able to visit a majority of the villages the women are from. This is key to understanding the health needs of these communities.

They were in great spirits and are excited to be continuing to work with this wonderful group of women. If you would like to follow along on Facebook or Twitter, I will be sending out updates on these platforms in a more timely manner than updates will be posted here. I will also post links on Facebook and Twitter to blog updates from the team that will be posted here over the next two weeks. Thanks again for all your support, both from the July fundraiser we had in Portland and the Beer for Bikes fundraiser in San Diego. We couldn’t do this without you!
