The RDP has been presented with another partnership opportunity. The Bethel Clinic NGO has conducted de-worming projects in the past in an effort to treat intestinal parasites in areas the Ghana Health Service has identified as problematic.
According to the proposal put forth, there are many schools in the district that have been identified as still needing treatment, which consists of a one-time dose of a medication to the children which safely treats the disease.
The plan would be to conduct a one-day effort during the January time-frame we will be conducting the VHW program. The program will be run by the Bethel Clinic NGO who will employ 15 experienced nurses that will treat up to 7000 children.
